Message	Yes they are related.. the PCV system will help suck the Garbage out of the Crankcase and burn it off so it won't keep eating at your engine.. and YES the short drives to work are also causing the goo.. Can you hook back up the PCV System?.. your pistons and bearings will love you longer for it.. Cj
